We'll miss you, Libby ...

Libby Marie passed across the Rainbow Bridge today. According to a posting on Skeezix's blog, she died peacefully beneath her Christmas tree. In honor of our good friend, Libby Marie, we're posting one of many Rainbow Bridge poems ...

The RAINBOW BRIDGE
There is a bridge connecting heaven and Earth,
a space and a place in time known as Rainbow Bridge ... They say.
Just this side is a land of green meadows, rolling hills, and valleys covered with lush grass and beautiful flowers.
And it's here that all creatures big and small come to play when their days are done.
At Rainbow Bridge, even the old and frail are young again ... They say.
Then one day, from out of the blue, an animal will break away from the pack and look back.
Ears perked, tail wagging, nose twitching.
You have seen and been seen.
You take your pal in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.
Then the two of you cross Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated ... They say.
And I believe ...
