Adventures with plumbers

For the past week, we've been inundated by plumbing guys. They've made tons of mistakes and have made our lives MISERABLE. Don't they understand that cats need air conditioning since we wear fur coats 24/7? They caused the dishwasher to overflow which messed up the tile and the wooden cabinets (even the one where OUR cans and snacks are kept), so now they have dehumidifiers running. The house smells like the litterbox after Cocoa Puff and Fudge have consumed too much water. Mom says that it smells like the Everglades ... Like she'd ever go somewhere where snakes and crocodiles live. She won't even go into the reptile house at the San Diego Zoo.

Speaking of Mom ... She looks really tired. Her job keeps her away for eleven hours at a time even though she only gets paid for seven and a half. She really needs to get some rest. Last night she almost forgot to give us our can. She made up for it by choosing shrimp paté. I'm hoping for that or rainbow trout tonight.

So far, there haven't been any visitors to my blog and I'm getting a little discouraged. I guess that no one is interested, so I guess that I'll just write for me. Until tomorrow ... Daisy

Hi. Nice to read your blog. The only people who can leave comments are bloogers (none of the infamous "anonymous" people can leave comments -- and they are the ones who want to talk to you).

Hope you get this message.

Hello, my name is Ferdy and I run the Conservative Cat blog (http://www.conservativecat.com). I notice that you only allow comments from blogger users and that all comments are moderated. Some friends of mine said they have tried to comment here and were prevented by the restriction. My hope is that you'll see this and get in touch with my pet Bruce at webmaster@conservativecat.com so we can integrate you into the cat lover community and find out how to fix the comment problem.

Hi! Salem sent me.

I'm sorry to hear about your plumbing woes, and yes, it would be hot in San Diego in a fur coat. I've been to San Diego and really liked it--wish I lived there!

Have a scrumptous dinner!

Hello DaisyMae Maus. The entire catblogging world is worried about you because they can't leave comments to tell you how much they love reading your blog. You are very pretty. I hope your Mom finds out how to see your comments on your dashboard.

we all start out this way, thinking no one reads/cares. but that's not true! not true at all. and with Salem and Chatham in your corner, i'm guessing it's just a matter of time before you have more comments than you know what to do with!

Thanks, Everyone! My mom can be kind of a dingus about the computer stuff. She's promised to "select" and "de-select" some stuff so that you can leave comments unfettered. Actually, I promised that I wouldn't drink the non-fat milk out of her cereal (and then barf all over the carpet) if she'd take the restriction off of my blog. A little physical blackmail can be a good thing, right?

Hey, was this all a cunning plan to get yur name in front of all of us? It sure werked! :-)
I nefur met a plumber, but Bonnie scared one so he almost fell down the stairs. She was at the top, "gargoyling" on the half-wall at eye level. Mom said, "Watch the cat," an the plumber looked down. Then he looked up into Bonnie's fierce gaze an almost fell! She was quite puleezed wif herself.
