Well, I heard from Mom that she's in Idaho. She visited a place called Sandpoint yesterday an' said that she was 'bout ninety miles from Canada ... Then she drove down the 95 to a place near Spokane, WA ... The place is on an indian reservation an' is a CASINO. It's called Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. She is feelin' better from the food poisoning of last week (eeewww ...) ...
This morning she leaves the casino (after saying "bye bye" to our Aunt Montie an' Uncle Harold ... an' the woofies: Whimpy an' Tribles) to drive down to Grandma's sister's house. It's not a furry long drive, but it is rainin' ...
Thinkin' of Aunt Montie reminds me of a story ...
Mom used to walk Whimpy when Aunt Montie lived in California. One day, Mom wanted to see how many miles Whimpy could walk before he "pooped out". (Now you have to know that Whimpy isn't a big guy. He's half Daschund and half Chihuahua.) Anyway, Mom and Whimpy started walking. They walked an' walked an' walked. At about mile eight, Whimpy started showin' signs of tiring. At eight-an'-a-half miles, he started dry heavin' and threw up his water all over the sidewalk. He couldn't walk anymore, but was too wiggly to carry. Mom lifted him by his harness an' carried him like a heavy purse (yep, swingin' him back an' forth while she walked). While she was walkin' the remaining mile or so to get home, a teenager hollered out the window of a passing car: "Hey, lady! You broke your dog!"
I guess that you had to be there ...
One more week of vacation 'til Mom returns. I MISS her a whole bunch ...

I love that story. It's a great one. We're glad your mom is feeling better. We know that it's been a long time that she's been gone and still more time to go. You should teleport over and party with the furballs. They've been having a rip-roaring time.

Your Mum is not far from where I live. I live about 40 miles from the US border and I know all those places you named.

Oh, I am so sorry that your mum is not with you right now. It is always so hard when the humans go away. But the good thing is, that you always get LOTS of attention when they come back!

I'm shur glad yer mom is feeling better. Yer Whimpy storey reeminded me of my gramma hoo had an old basset hownd. Bassett hownds are also low-rider dawgs like the dokshunds. (She has dakshunds too, but this is a storey abowt her and the basset.) She livs in the middul of an oranje grove. She deesided to take the basset for a walk cuz the basset was owt of shape. They didn't git vary far beefore she "broke her dawg." The bassett woodn't go any further. So she had to tie the basset to an oranje tree, walk home and go git the car to pik up the bassett and take her home.
Yeah, yoo had to be thare.
What a story! You Mom should be home now any day -that was a long vacation, I hope she will never do that to you ever again!
I'm glad your mommy's feeling better. Food poisoning can be pretty awful. When a human is sick they need a nice warm kitty to cuddle, so I bet she was sorry that you weren't along.
On the other hand, she knew you'd keep the Felines in line. Obviously she trusts you a lot. Did she give you last summer's Housecat of the Quarter Award?
Yay that your Mom feels better!
Haha....bwoken dog!
We liked the Whimpy story a lot. That's a tough little woofie!
Well, we hope the last week of bein without yer Mom goes fast!
