This time, Mom took both boys to the v-e-t for evaluation. Puffy needed surgery and the insertion of TWO drains this time ... plus a hefty dose of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds. Charmz got a full evaluation and rather than filing his teeth, he's gonna be put on some anti-anxiety medicine called Buspirone that will HOPEFULLY reduce the "felicidal/fratricidal" rages from him. Charmee was very good for the doctor, but he tried to rip Mom's face off when she was trying to insert him into the prisoner transport unit ... It was so bad that Mom had to put an Elizabethan collar on him so he couldn't bite her.
Puffy is resting comfortably, but the grandparents are gonna hafta deal with the doctor visits an' dosing Charmee while Mom is gone on her trip.
Think healing thoughts for Puffy, patient thoughts for our grandparents, and anti-psychotic thoughts for Charmee ... okay? Thanks!

Oh no! That isn't good at all. I hope Santa wasn't watching. Seriously tho, poor Puffy and poor Charmee. I hope Puffy recovers quickly and takes all the meds without to much of a fight.
Have you tried an "animal communicator" for Charmee?? I have used one a few times before, including helping me get used to a new baby. She is a huge help. She helped me when I was a crazy feral who was scared of the radio! She is also a Reiki Master. Perhaps a Reiki Master in your area could direct you to a communicator? Totally still use the drugs, but maybe Charmee has something to say?
We will send many many healing purrs and prayers to both of them.
We loooooooooooove your Christmas card!!!! You are all so sweet. We are posting our pictures tomorrow for our Thankful Thursday.
PS DaisyMae, I am sorry your mommy will miss your sweet 16! Perhaps you can have a birthday / house trashing party to teach her a lesson.
We hope Puffy heals quickly and the meds calm Charmz down...we have issues with Wally and Zoey who are both on Paxil now...so if the buspirone doesn't do the trick for Charmz, there are other meds that may be able to help. And following Hendrix's suggestion, you may want to contact an animal behaviorist who can help you deal with the situation.
We wish you all a merry and hopefully peaceful Christmas!
Oh no! That is not a good thing right before Christmas. I hope everyone gets along soon! That is so hard.
Oh noes! We are so sorry to hear about this! We had the same kind of issue earlier this summer. Our foster cat was bitten by Maizy and it caused a nasty abscess that had to be drained. We wish Puffy lots of healing vibes and Charmee lots of comforting vibes.
Wishing you and your family a Furry Meowy Chrissymouse!
We are so sorry to hear this! WE are sending all kinds of purrs your way.
We all hope that everyone will be OK. What an awful thing to have to go through!
Here's hoping that the meds work!
Oh no. We're so sorry to hear that all is not well; but sometimes it just takes a while. Have you tried the Feliway products? They are said to be very good at keeping everyone calm.
Silly Puffy! We hope both Charmee and Puffy feel better and behave for their Grandparents while you are traveling. Jeez, and our Mom thinks our brotherly scuffles are bad.
Merry Christmas and safe trip!
xoxo
Oh, I'm so sorry you had to go through all this stress right before the holidays and travels. I hope everybuddy settles down and Puffy heals up really quickly. Charmee, I hope you like your chill-pills!
Ouch, we're sorry Charmee bit Puffy so badly. We hope Puffy heals well and Charmee calms down. This must be doubly upsetting for all of you since your mom is leaving and won't be here for Christmas. Hope she has a safe trip.
Purr Cocoa Puff! I hope you get well soon. And Charmee, Mommie says that you could take lessons in chillin' from me. I lie on my back and all the stresses go away.
Merry Christmas all!

P.S. I have my own blog now.
