This is our "elder statesman," Fudge Ripple, posing for Tabby Toozday. Isn't he pretty? He's a Maine Coon cat with frootbat ears and some of the most easily matted fur EVER! Mom and grandma brush him for hours and he still gets matted. Does anyone else have this problem? There have been Feline Americans with long fur, but they have NEVER gotten matted like Fudgie does.

Our mom that lives here thinks that your Fudge Ripple is one HANDSOME FLUFFY DUDE! She totally digs on Maine Coons...we thinks she would trade us if she could! But we think he's fancy cat and very hansome too!!

We had some trouble posting a comment, but we seem to be in business now.
We think Fudge Ripple is beautiful. We used to have a much older Maine Coon sister and she was so nice. She had beautiful long fur and somehow it never matted! Mom brushed her daily, but didn't spend all that much time on it. I guess she was just lucky.

Phoebe is supposedly a "norwegian forest cat" or some such thing and she gets some mats under her armpits, especially. Tracy combs them out. Then she feels the need to also comb me out. We don't like it and are glad that Tracy doesn't often get that idea.
You are a very beautiful cat, Fudge Ripple. Munchkin also has long hair, we have to comb him quite frequently(when we can find the comb, he hides it from us).
PeeEss, we got our Whirly Bird today, what fun!!!! Gets us all excited about the birdies we watch out our window.
