I was tagged by Millie for the "How I Got My Name" meme ...
Huckleberry Finn (my brother) and I were named after a line in the movie "Tombstone" spoken by Val Kilmer (as "Doc Holliday"): He says, "I'll be your huckleberry if you'll be my daisy."
Mom always gives middle names to her pets, so I became DaisyMae and my brother became Huckleberry Finn.
My "Maus" name is because Mom paid attention to me ... She'd call me "DaisyMae" and I'd always respond with "Maus" ... One day, she asked me if I wanted to be called "Maus" ... and I responded with "Maus" again, so it stuck. I became DaisyMae Maus ... So we BOTH got to name me!
