Mom went shopping at Petco yesterday to buy us some kibbles. While she was at the cash register payin' for the food, she saw a notice taped to the counter about a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT regarding Petco's return policy an' the violation of California consumers' rights.
If you live in California an' made any returns to Petco using a credit or debit card between January 26, 2004 and February 26, 2007, you are eligible to participate in a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.
You need to visit the Petco Settlement website and click on the "claim form" link. A form will appear an' you need to print out the form, fill it out an' sign it, an' then put it into the mail in an addressed envelope (with a first class stamp affixed) to be a part of the "class".
For your trouble, you will receive a $20.00 giftcard to PETCO.
There are furry many members of the cat blogosphere who live with their 'beans in California. The lawsuit isn't limited to cats ... products for ANY type of animal that were paid for with a credit or debit card and were THEN RETURNED, make your 'bean eligible.
If you're curious, here is a screenshot of the Petco Settlement page.
(Click form to biggify!)
FYI: THE FORM MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED
BY NO LATER THAN APRIL 28, 2008 TO BE ELIGIBLE!

Well, that is interesting. Wonder what they did? Ah well, Hi DaisyMae. Have a nice day.

Wow...what did they do to get into such a wawsuit?
This is very interesting, shame we can't claim any money too! ;) The rate at which I've been eating my way through cat food of late, I'm sure Mummy could do with $20 more of it! ;)
Hey, your 3-column change looks great!
A mystery. How intriguing!
Hmmm wonder what this is about?
They are just accused of recording personal information of customers (like phone numbers) who were returning things to the stores (we think).
hmmm these class action lawsuits don't happen much here. Mom finds it all very interesting.
That's nice of you to post this for the California bloggers!

I am glad we don't live in CA. Well, we shop at Petsmart any way....that is where my mom adopted me too.
