Saturday Photo Hunt #62: HIGH!

HIGH!

The Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt theme for this week is HIGH.

In our house, we have lots of stuff that's tall like bookshelves, Mom, the fireplace mantel, a couple of television armoires, an' ... of course ... our cat trees.  If we want to, or NEED to, there are places where we can climb up HIGH.

Our house also has a unique feature:  Open shelf space above the kitchen cabinets.  The Feline Americans an' I would LOVE to get up there, but it takes special skills an' youthful stupidity to jump from the floor to the kitchen countertop ... to the top of the 'frigerator ... over the plastic storage crates ... to the up HIGH catwalk.

Pumpkin is afraid of heights.

Fuzzypants isn't all that bright, so he hasn't figured it out.

My legs are too short an' I can't make the "counter to the top of the 'frigerator" part ... I've tried VERY unsuccessfully.

Cocoa Puff is just too fat.

Lucky Charmz is up there ALL THE TIME.  He loves to be up HIGH and seems to bounce up there.  He teases Mom from up there (somehow he forgets that she can stand on the countertop an' pluck him off the catwalk at will).

This is a photo that Mom took of Charmee before she squeezed him with the taco press.  He actually LIKES being squeezed an' will roll around on his back to taunt Mom into a quick game.

There were a couple of the cats who came before who could get up on the catwalk.  My brother, Huckleberry Finn, liked to get up above the cabinets and nap.  The problem was that he couldn't get down.  Mom ... or Uncle James ... would have to climb up on the countertops with a bath towel, wrap him in the towel, and hand him down into someone's waiting arms.  Percy got up there once or twice ... an' then meowed piteously to be rescued.  Cookie Monster went to the Bridge long before we moved into the new house ... He would have LOVED being up there.

Charmee gets down by hurling himself onto the back of the La-Z-Boy recliner or running down the face of one of the bookshelves.  Evel Knievel had NOTHING on Charmee.

PeeSss:  In case you're curious about the taco press ...
Here's a photo of the one that Mom uses on Charmee.

That taco press looks like a torture instrument for cats, lol ! Fortunately I know your mum ! Arthur once climbed in our wheeping willow tree and Mr. Gattino had to climb too to get him down !

I love to get up on high places, too! I am sad because our kitchen cabinets are too high for me to jump to.

What a great photo! I once had a cat who would jump onto my grandfather's shoulders for a ride. He thought that was pretty high.

What a great High photo! We also love the taco press. Very cool. Our beans buy premade shells, so I guess we won't be lucky enough to get one of those.

I really must have my humans put something like that in should they end up purchasing another house...

Our kitchen cabinet tops have a false front, but we can get up of the frige, the upright freezer and the garage door rails. That last one makes Mom very nervous! Hehehe.

Say that taco press might come in handy next Purim. Where did your mom get it? How does she use it on Charmee?

Yeah, if ya climb up, ya gotta find a way down. Sometimes it's the Beins, sometimes yerself...
