Miss Peach's Meme ...

This is Miss Peach's Meme ... The Feline Americans and I will be answering this meme by committee (in other words, I get to answer and they get to AGREE with me) ...

1} Favorite season?
Early autumn when the days are still long and warm, and Mom's on vacation.

2} Favorite colors?
Purple and green ... Oh, and PINK!

3} Favorite room?
The living room 'cuz there's lots of cushy furniture to lay on and our cat condo/scratching post is there.

4} Do you like dogs?
Not really ... We "tolerate" our cousin, Shadow Saluki.

5} Ever been in an airplane box?
Nope. We can't stand the PTU and will howl in protest when we ride in the black or green masheens ... Airplane riding would be horrible 'cuz we wouldn't want to ride as "cargo" ...

6} Do you have the get bathed?
Nope. We get 'wiped' if we get dirty.

7} Are you in love?
Yep. We each have Valentines ... I've got super-handsome Jake!

8} Where would you like to travel to?
Around the neighborhood in a stroller, but Mom won't get us one.

9} What do you ignore?
"Get down!"

10} How many lives have you used up?
Hmmm ... Don't wanna know.

11} Do you have any dark secrets?
None. Our lives are an open blog ...

Thanksgiving for the turkey; Easter for the ham.

13} Water or milk?
Ice-cold Culligan water ... Milk makes us barf.

14} Why do you blog?
'Cuz Skeezix and Kukka-Maria made it look like fun. The Feline Americans do what I want them to do. Oh, and we get to see our cousins: Zoey and the Furballs and Benjamin Fuzz efurry day!

15} Are you into extremes?
I like extreme mooching, extreme catnip abusing, and extreme cuddling for distance!

16} Favorite TV shows?
"Hex" or "Ace of Cakes"

17} Are you a pesty lap cat?
No. Sparky Fuzzypants is, though ... Mom calls him "Mister Biscuits" 'cuz he makes 'em on her.

18} Inside or outside cat?
Indoors where we're safe from the neighbors.

19} What makes you happy?
Sleepin' late with Mom and cuddling.

20} Your most embarrassing moment?
When I stepped on Mom's peanut buttered toast and got it all over my foot! Eeewww.

I'm NOT gonna tag anyone, but if you'd like to play, PLEASE do! This is a furry fun meme: Miss Peach did a good job with the questions!

Creation explanation ...

Mom's friend Lana sent her this in an e-mail ...

Hmm ... I think that this little email explains a whole lot! No wonder they call 'em "Temptations®!"

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth, and populated the Earth with broccoli, cauliflower, and spinach, plus green and yellow and red vegetables of all kinds, so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives.

Then using God's great gifts, Satan created Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and Krispy Creme Donuts. And Satan said, "You want chocolate with that?"

And Man said, "Yes!"
And Woman said, "and as long as you're at it, add some sprinkles."
And they gained 10 pounds.
And Satan smiled.

So God created healthful yogurt that Woman might keep the figure that Man found so fair.
And Satan brought forth white flour from the wheat, and sugar from the cane and combined them.
And Woman went from size 6 to size 14.

So God said, "Try my fresh green salad."
And Satan presented Thousand-Island Dressing, buttery croutons, and garlic toast on the side.
And Man and Woman unfastened their belts following the repast.

God then said, "I have sent you heart healthy vegetables, and olive oil in which to cook them."
And Satan brought forth deep fried fish and chicken-fried steak so big it needed its own platter.
And Man gained more weight and his cholesterol went through the roof.

God then created a light, fluffy white cake, named it "Angel Food Cake," and said, "It is good."
Satan then created chocolate cake and named it "Devil's Food."

God then brought forth running shoes so that His children might lose those extra pounds.
And Satan gave cable TV with a remote control so Man would not have to toil changing the channels.
And Man and Woman laughed and cried before the flickering blue light and gained pounds.

Then God brought forth the potato, naturally low in fat and brimming with nutrition.
And Satan peeled off the healthful skin and sliced the starchy center into chips and deep-fried them.
And Man gained more pounds.

God then gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still satisfy his appetite.
And Satan created McDonald's and its 99-cent double cheeseburger. Then said, "You want fries with that?"
And Man replied, "Yes! And Super Size them!"
And Satan said, "It is good."
And Man went into cardiac arrest.

God sighed and created quadruple bypass surgery.

Then Satan created HMOs.

Friday's Feast #25

FRIDAY'S FEAST!

Appetizer
Name a funny habit you have.
I don't know if it's "funny," but I have to pull on the door handle once I've locked a door (especially my classroom door) to make sure that it's locked tight. No, I don't have OCD.

Soup
If you could instantly know how to play a musical instrument, which one would you pick?
Cello would be my first choice. That instrument gives me chills, and I love how it sounds full and rich.

My second choice would be the pedal steel guitar. When I was a kid, I used to watch a variety show called "Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters" (but I wouldn't admit to it) ... Barbara Mandrell always looked so amazing playing the guitar on her lap wearing strange metal picks on her fingers. Also, it sounds cool.

But as an attention-getter at my job, playing the drums would be the most handy instrument. Yeah, I'd wanna be a drummer.

Salad
How long is your hair?
It needs to be cut, but it hangs just below my jawline. I can force it into a ponytail if I really want to, but the ponytail is really, really little. And my hair needs to be colored again ...

Main Course
When was the last time you forgave someone, and who was it?
I really don't remember ... Probably because I find it so infinitely hard to forgive people. I tend to carry things around with me ...

I've tried to follow "forgive and forget," but that turned into "forgive and remember" ... Now I just "remember."

Dessert
What is your favorite kitchen appliance?
My favorite kitchen appliance is a professional grade freezer. It's huge and it makes a satisfying "smmuuuuccckkk" sound when it closes/seals. I keep all kinds of foods in there from frozen chicken to cheesecakes (my student club sells slices for fundraising) to pretzels.

Oh, but I got this chopping device called "the Vidalia Chopper" and I use it to make veggies into little squares ... That's really handy and it's been used a bunch in the sixty days that I've owned it.

But the best is the Vita Mix 3000 blender. It PULVERIZES ice cubes in nanoseconds. I can make my own Slurpees® in about fifteen seconds. Since I LOVE Slurpees®, I use it a lot. Yep, the Vita Mix 3000 is my favorite kitchen appliance.
