This week's theme is "CLEAN".
The Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt theme for this week is CLEAN ... and this theme couldn't have come at a better time.
Charmee has a school of fish that live in a tank in the dining room. He's been pestering Mom for much of her vacation to "CLEAN" the algae in the tank and replace some of the ornaments that had been lookin' kind of shabby!
As you well know, Mom's been pretty busy these last four weeks and the state of the fishtank hasn't been one of her priorities until I told her that this week's Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt theme is CLEAN and she probably didn't have many photos that would fit the bill. So ... Mom cleaned the fishtank, bought a new hiding place for Ching-Ching (an emerald catfish that was a gift from one of Mom's students nearly two years ago), selected three plastic plants (she hasn't bought real plants in ages 'cuz they come with TONS of snails), adopted six lemon tetras, and spruced up her collection of PINK SpongeBob® "jellyfish" ... Charmee is furry happy that he can see his fish more clearly.
This is the BEFORE photo of a rather skuzzy-looking tank: Eeewwww! Algae is gross!
And this is the AFTER photo. The tank is nice and CLEAN!
The fish are happy ...
And Charmee is happy!
I am not a fan of the fish, so I tend to ignore the tank (and it's algae problem) ... As far as I'm concerned, fishies are for EATIN'!

Fish tanks are a lot of work. Your is looking good!
But if the tank is clean you can find a spot in the sun and watch them swim around!!!
~~~Blessings~~~
The Jellyfish are so neat. We are happy Charmee is happy. We miss our fish tanks. Sigh... Sending Purrs for a great weekend.
sounds like way more work than any vacation should be!
still, you're clean clean clean, and charmee looks very happy indeed!
Good job cleaning! Those pink jellyfish are cute. And those other big ones look like clown loaches!
You haven't tried putting those gummy crabby patties in the tank, have you? Hmmm...wonder if the fishies would eat those?
we hadda tank ... but mi mom gave it to her frend bruce ... an it'z alwayz cleen!
luv--yer frend--jh
I wish we had one of those, it looks like kitty T.V.!
Your Mommy did a good job cleaning the tank. Sounds like Charmee likes reality TV. If the tanks fuzzy then it's hard to see what's going on.
Happy Easter!
what great photos for the week! Thanks
Owr Mom's fishie tank used to look like da dirty one. Dat's why she duzn't haf a fishie tank no more. She hates to clean! Hmmmm, I guess dat's why the Daddy bean cleans owr baffroom box.
Happy Fish ~ Happy Cat
Makes a good pair!
Cute little jelly fish you have there.
We have never seen real fish before but they look very interesting in their nice clean tank.
The way you wrote, Cool post!
A clean fishtank = happy fish!
Happy Easter!
Snails are eating leftovers and fish poop and so they are very usefull and prevent there comes much algae. :) Maybe next time some real plants and just fish out some snails when they are with too many.
Great photos anyway!!
Greetz from Holland and Happy Easter. :)
Mom loves to put the snails in the tank, but the clown loaches eat all of the snails as soon as they hatch ... Mom hates the squishy snail eggs and the empty snail shells. Maybe she'll buy a Chinese algae eater like the one she has at school ... ?
