Feast One Hundred & Eighty

AppetizerHave you ever played a practical joke on anyone? If so, what did you do and who was your victim?
I've never played a practical joke on anyone because practical jokes always seem to be rooted in "meanness" ... I did surprise someone though ...
It was in August of 1990 and I wasn't going with the family on vacation. The family left and I decided that I needed to be there despite the fact that I didn't have any way of getting there (I had a premonition that I HAD to act upon). My aunt and her friend drove a thousand plus miles out of their way to pick me up and deliver me to grandma and grandpa's house in Rochester, WA.
I'm glad that I was there because my grandmother died about eight months later. I'm forever indebted to my aunt (Toni) for taking pity on me and offering me a ride.
Soup
What do your salt and pepper shakers look like?
The ones at school sitting in my 'fridge are tiny glass ones from my friend, Marisol. The ones at home are ancient white Tupperware ones. The "fancy" ones are Noritake china with pink roses and gold rims.
Salad
Where is the next place you plan to visit (on vacation or business)?
Salem, Oregon ... Seattle, Washington ... and maybe Idaho again. I'm hoping to leave on March 18th and drive up there on my own.
Main Course
What kind of lotion or cream do you use to keep your hands from getting too dry?
I have some apple-scented lotion at school in a red rubber apple that I've got on my desk. I have some cedar/sage lotion in my bathroom that I got from Bath and Body Works.
Dessert
Make up a dessert, tell us its ingredients, and give it a name.
Hmmm ... I love desserts, but I'm not very creative about them. I'm gonna pass on this question as I have a pretty nasty stomach ache right now and the thought of eating or drinking anything makes me want to barf.
1. _Being alone on the open road with a full iPod, a cooler of icy Coca-Cola, and the top down_ are the best things about traveling.
2. I love a good _NAP_ when I'm cold.

Friday Fill-Ins #60
1. _Being alone on the open road with a full iPod, a cooler of icy Coca-Cola, and the top down_ are the best things about traveling.
2. I love a good _NAP_ when I'm cold.
3. I often use _Clorox wipes when I'm cleaning because they're just one step _.
4. I'm reading _____ right now; I _____ it. I actually just finished the Saint Patrick's Day Murder by Leslie Meyer not more than an hour ago. I read A LOT of light mystery novels (mostly to tick off my Reading students ... I read a new book every day).
5. _Money_ is something I dislike talking about.
6. When I visited _Spokane, WA_ I most looked forward to seeing _Montie and Whimpy_.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _afternoon tea at the Westgate Hotel_, tomorrow my plans include _having lunch with my mom_ and Sunday, I want to _finish some crochet projects that I started, but can't seem to finish_!

that's a great feast! i especially like the part about you getting in your car and driving up here!
btw, you have no debt with me. it was truly my pleasure...and most definitely an adventure. it was also exactly the right thing to do.
I likes to nap when I am cold, too!
That was very informative and fun. I can't believe your Aunt and her friend went 1000 miles out of their way to pick you up - isn't family great!
Those are all very good things, especially the visiting part.
It sounds like things are going well. Things here are pretty good too, except for Matt being sick.
Those are very interesting things, DaisyMae, I shall have to make mom do them sometime.

Great feast and fill-ins, specially the appetizer, which is amazing on several levels:) xxx
Mommy says that there is nothing better than the open road. Me, I think there is nothing better than an open lap!
