Wordy Wednesday: Garfield-ian Wisdom
This piece of "news" was sent in an email by Mom's dear friend, Larry:
From the mouth of Garfield the Cat ...
He says,
"A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country.
Well, there's a very simple answer.
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
We just didn't know we were getting low.
The reason for that is purely geographical.
Our OIL is located in Alaska, California, Coastal Florida, Coastal Louisiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
Our DIPSTICKS are located in Washington, DC!!!"
Any questions??? Didn't think so.
Garfield has summed up MY opinion on the oil crisis here in the good ol' U.S. of A (especially since Mom's been grousing 'bout the fact that gasoline for the black masheen is costin' nearly $4.00 a gallon these days ... an' the black masheen is a gas-sipper!!!) ...

Garfield is the best!
Mom thinks it is obscene that Exxon made a 36 million dollar profit this last year. Or was it billion? She thinks it is just sick. And wrong and on and on
Roxy
Gas here is $3.09 as a high
We feel your pain. It cost us $40.00 on Monday to fill up half a tank...just so we could get Moki back from UC Davis.
Garfield is funny and smart.
Hmm... we have a Honda Civic and it's almost $30 to fill up each week now... Sigh.
I'm with Garfield. I can't believe we are so far behind in finding a replacement for oil. Oil is not tne answer anymore!!
That is very true. I'd not thought of it before. Garfield is very wise. After all, it was Garfield you taught us about lasagna.
Ha! Garfield is really funny and wise! If you think your petrol is expensive, you should come to the UK. I don't drive but I think the average price would translate to over $8.00 US per gallon:( We are getting taxed here so much. We had the budget yesterday and everything is going up again! HALP! :) xxx
