Fresh Air Fund: Hosts URGENTLY Needed!

Sara Wilson from The Fresh Air Fund contacted me an' asked if I'd put out some information on my bloggie 'bout a terrific organization that provides a "fresh air" experience for disadvantaged kids who live in New York City. hoping that we an' our readers might be able to help some of the kids.

She said, "As someone with a passion for animals I thought you and the readers of 'Daisy Mae Maus and the Feline Americans' would be interested in helping children who also love animals. The Fresh Air Fund is in need of host families for this summer. Host families are volunteers who open their hearts and homes to children from the city to give a fresh air experience to disadvantaged children from the inner-city. Even if you can't host a child yourself, just posting a mention of this program on your site or as a 'tweet' would be helpful to spread the word."

There's a site on the innerwebs where you can get more information if you're like us an' already live in a fairly large city like Sandy Eggo. You can find the site at Fresh Air Fund Hosts.

Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund has been giving inner-city children the joy of a summer vacation with volunteer host families and at Fund camps, creating unforgettable memories and fresh possibilities. For some kids, this trip out of the city may be the first time to see stars! Can you believe it? Some cities have so much ambient light that something as run-of-the-mill as seeing a sky full of twinkling stars is out of the question!
